Today's Cats' Cradle has been brought to you by the letter 'H'.
Oh yeah, and these people:

About Cats' Cradle...
Since Cats' Cradle has a tendancy to use inside jokes, I just thought it'd be a good idea to point this out. Many of these jokes will be in reference to Furries; Mormonism; and the folks in my favourite chatroom, for the online webcomic College Roomies From Hell.

Q. Why "Cats' Cradle?"
A. Everyone knows the children's game "cat's cradle," usually played with two people. My sister and I used to play it a lot when we were younger. I'm not exactly sure why I chose that name. It just sorta fits and has a nice connotation.

Q. What is a "furry"?
A. A furry is a half-human, half-animal creature. Not entirely unlike Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse. Yerf.com is my favourite site for furry art. Most of the comics from my links page have main characters who are also furries.

Q. If you have a webcomic, anybody can have one! Where do I sign up?
A. You're absolutely right! I got a free account from keenspace.com. I wish you luck with your new comic!

Q. What's with your other comic?
A. My other comic, and the one I actually still update on a borderline-consistant basis is called And the Meepits Outgrabe. It's souly published in the Neopian Times weekly, by Neopets.com. It stars the fictional offspring of Miles Foxxer and myself.
The title is, obviously, a Lewis Carroll reference, with 'meepit' thrown in to personalize it.
If the rules on Neopets get too restrictive though, I will be remodeling my characters to lift any neopets copywrite laws placed on their appearances, and moving the comic back here to keenspace.

Q. What is a "mormon"?
A. A mormon is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The website will have more info.

Q. Who are you anyway?
A. My friends call me Lin. I am female, 22 years old, and my birthday is New Year's Eve. I am currently a college Junior in a little tiny mormon town, but spent Fall Semester (August 2004-December 2005) working at Disneyworld doing an internship. (I wouldn't recommend it).
I didn't grow up in Utah though. I've lived in pretty much every corner of the country at this point.
I have two younger sisters, a golden retriver, and happily married parents.
Here's a pic I edited to make me Arwen from LOTR.

Q. Who are Miles, Ny, and Caj?
A. Quite some time ago, the people in my favourite online community began marrying and adopting each other. We decided a family tree was in order.
On This family tree I adopted Nyren, a green "woof," who is my oldest son, and CajunFox, who is orange. ;)
Caj has a comic on keenspace as well, and it can be found here.
Miles Foxxer and I "eloped" online to a temporary channel and got married in September of 2002. Miles sometimes appears in the comic as a little "foxx" and sometimes as a furry. So far, if the little red foxx has black tipped ears, legs and tail, it's Miles. He and I both appear in either form of four-legged or furry. But we're still the same characters. ;)
Miles and I got divorced in December after a little over a year of dating, and three months of on online marriage. We're still very close, and he will continue to appear in the comic.

Q. Who's the blonde rabbit?
A. There are two of them actually. The one with too much makeup who consistantly sneezes three times in a row was my room mate from 2nd semester. I don't have any future plans for her return to the comic.
The other blonde rabbit is my sister. Her character has yet to be named.

Q. Why is your whole comic site in black and white??
A. I like how it looks, I don't feel like coloring all my comics, and its easier to make sure the images match. Maybe for one day I'll tint the whole site one color or something.

Q. What is mormon cappuccino??
A. Technically there is no such thing. My church heavily frowns on the use of any addictive substance, including caffeine. However, there is a similar-tasting and entirely different substance called postum, which is an herb. I like to add different things to postum, different coffee creams with cinnamon, nutmeg, or french vanila flavour, and various hot chocolate powders. My coffee drinking friends tell me it has a sort of mocha-flavour to it. I just ended up calling it mormon cappuccino.
Since the creation of mormon cappuccino, I've heard of other church members doing similar things with postum, such as adding whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top.

Q. Who is Ynes and what's all that stuff with her at the begining of the comic?
A. Ynes was my first character, --animaniacs-based, and from 1997. The strips at the begining of the comic with she and James were drawn in 2000. I actually got my keenspace account just for someplace to host my Ynes-chan archive, so people could visit it from my webpage: kittylin.com. I can't exactly remember why I decided to start up a comic again, however lax it would be.

Well now you know everything you never wanted to about Cats' Cradle. If you have anything else you're curious about, feel free to email me.
